These balusters are high quality but very affordable! We just installed them, and they look great. They give our staircase a whole new look!
16.1.1-T Single Twist Hollow Iron Baluster
This is the 2nd house I've built using these balusters. They are good quality at a reasonable price. Will use again!
Good quality products and customer service was great. Thanks
Overall review - Cheap Stair Parts is great. Communication on email about order, delivery, etc is good. Didn't have any problems with my order so no commentary on customer service. Parts are shipped with each individual piece bubble wrapped.
Some advice in completing this DIY project in changing out wood to metal balusters...
1. Use a large branch lopper instead of a saw to cut your old wooden balusters out. Less noise and sawdust.
2. Order at least 1 extra of each design. Shipping on 60+ 4 or 5 extra balusters isn't bad. Shipping on two to replace two you cut too short is ridiculously expensive.
3. Measure each baluster before cutting. Even though they look the same length, they aren't. And a ¼” difference will annoy your spouse.
4. Start with the longest ones first. If you cut one too short, you can move it to a shorter spot. The length of your cut should be the distance between the top and bottom railings plus the depth of the hole in the top railing + a little extra. If it’s too long to fit, cut a small slice off. Goal is to have these be as long as possible to slide in without scratching the wood of the railing as you slide it in.
5. If the holes in the bottom railing are deep - the tapered part at the top will show. I used a wooden dowel and cut spacers to slide into the bottom railing to make the hole shallower.
6. If your holes in the railings are large in diameter, no amount of epoxy will get them to be sturdy/straight. I used rubber plumbing O rings to slip over the iron balusters to secure tighter in the holes of the railings.

Q. Can I pick up in Houston, Tx?
A. Yes. We ship from a distribution facility and the employees there are not equipped to handle sales & support for customers. They can only assist with loading your order. A. We use UPS / Fedex for the majority of our delivery services. We ship orders under 150 pounds UPS or Fedex. Occasionally we may use a different LTL delivery company. If you require a lift-gate service you will be responsible for the fees. (sometimes we may use a different freight carrier such as YRC, AAA Cooper or SEFL, but mainly its Fedex LTL)
Q. How long will it take to receive my order?
A. After the order is placed, we will ship the order within 48 hours. Shipping time takes 3-6 days.

A. We can. Orders going to Canada will require a broker on your end before we ship. All other countries will be required to use a freight forwarding company. We will only ship to your freight forwarding company and you will be responsible for the shipment from there.

The StairArtist was a program designed by PecanCreek Software that allows the user to drag-n-drop newels and balusters into a staircase in order to create different patterns and designs.
This is the worlds most realistic staircase design program as it uses real photos of staircases and products rather than cartoon line drawings like other designers.
This tool will not calculate how many parts you need. All this program offers is a visual designer to create baluster patterns to find the pattern that will work for you.
