The 16.3.19 Level Base Shoe with Set Screw is specifically designed to fit our 1/2″ square iron balusters. The hole measures 9/16″ wide so when you slide it on the baluster it will not scratch. This base shoe, crafted from durable aluminum, features a 1-5/16″ base and is intended for installation on flat surfaces. The inclusion of a set screw allows for secure attachment of the shoe to the baluster and tightens with a 2.5mm Allen wrench. Base shoes to not provide stability or support to your baluster and are a purely decorative element. its primary focus is to hide gaps left over from drilling holes into the ground and up into the handrail, providing a finished look to your stair while saving time and money on the installation process.
