The House of Forgings 16.3.19 Level Base Shoe with Set Screw fits 1/2″ square iron balusters, featuring a 9/16″ wide hole to prevent scratching during installation. Made from durable aluminum with a 1-5/16″ base, it mounts on flat surfaces and includes a set screw for secure attachment, tightened with a 2.5mm Allen wrench (not included). This decorative base shoe hides gaps from drilled holes in the ground and handrail, providing a finished look for staircases. It does not offer stability or support.

    Took out the white wooden balustrades and replaced all 50 with the oil rubbed bronze plain and single knuckle.
    You need a metal cutter. Once you measure and allow extra length, the iron balustrade fits right in to the existing holes. Use the flat shoes, makes the job look polished. Very happy with the project!
