Mitered return treads are made for staircases that are open on one or both sides. Instead of ending into a wall, the open end has a finished decorative edge. A separate nosing piece is attached with a miter joint to hide the end grain and create a continuous, furniture-quality profile. This gives a clean, professional look wherever the side of the staircase is visible.

Each tread is solid wood, unfinished, and ready for on-site staining and sealing.

Ordering tip:

• Left Hand Return — for a staircase open on the left when ascending
• Right Hand Return — for a staircase open on the right when ascending
