This S-9403 sure tite wood newel mounting kit is designed to install wood newel posts. It is a very long screw / bolt system that will torque the newel post down preventing it from moving.
This was really easy to install. The newel post is extremely solid now! There is no way this will break.

I received the same product sold elsewhere (maybe everywhere) for $10 to $20 for half that. Nothing more to say other than a quality product delivered as promised!

This was soooooo much better than building out decorative post for the base stair rail. Came PERFECTLY trimmed out and excellent quality. Very heavy and sturdy! Very satisfied to not have to build this out!!!

First Newell I received was damaged in transit. Cheapstairparts.com customer service was great. They were able to get me a replacement newell in time for my project.

The product is a geeat piece or red oak and it was shipped with tons of bubble wrap. Even though the box was ripped open the amount of packing inside protected the wood. I am very happy with the product, my only complaint is the corners are quite sharp.
