The House of Forgings 16.3.13 Level Base Shoe is designed for 9/16″ round iron balusters and is used on flat surfaces. Made from aluminum, this base shoe has a 1-5/16″ base. It includes a set screw to tighten to the baluster, but we recommend using a dab of epoxy to secure the shoe to the baluster. These base shoes are purely decorative and are intended to conceal the gaps left after baluster installation.
