The House of Forgings 16.3.13 Level Base Shoe is designed for 9/16″ round iron balusters and is used on flat surfaces. Made from aluminum, this base shoe has a 1-5/16″ base. It includes a set screw to tighten to the baluster, but we recommend using a dab of epoxy to secure the shoe to the baluster. These base shoes are purely decorative and are intended to conceal the gaps left after baluster installation.
Key specs:
Model: 16.3.13.
Type: Level Base Shoe.
Compatibility: Fits 9/16″ round balusters.
Base Size: 1-5/16″.
Material: Aluminum.
Installation: Recommend epoxy to secure (not included).
Usage Tips: Tighten the set screw to secure the shoe to the baluster, and enhance stability by applying a dab of our clear dry epoxy. For a more permanent hold and to minimize uneven gaps, evenly space the shoe around the baluster during installation. Clean with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the finish; avoid abrasive cleaners. Note that this shoe is decorative and does not provide structural support.

5 reviews for 16.3.13 Level Base Shoe for 9/16″ Rd. Iron Balusters
While one of the parts I ordered was on backorder, the customer service representative was able to recommend a similar item at a lower cost. Also, instead of trading a bunch of emails, she called me directly to discuss. The products arrived promptly and nice quality.
