Solid Wood Construction

Solid wood construction uses multiple slices or layers, all from the same species of wood (e.g., Red Oak or White Oak), crafted together to form the product. These layers are arranged with opposing grain patterns, a technique that prevents warping or bending over time by counteracting natural wood movement. While this method uses a single species throughout, it avoids the higher cost of a solid block by layering, offering durability and a natural, uniform grain that stains beautifully. It’s an excellent choice for high-traffic or premium stair installations.
