    We updated our basement stairs from old style wooden spindles to black single and double knobs and scrolls. Home Depot had them in 1/2” but my wife wanted the more beefy 3/4”. The knobs were welded in place, therefore; they couldn’t be adjusted which would have made for an easier install. One scroll was off in it’s alignment and Parts replaced it at no cost. The girl on the phone was awesome and answered every question I had. I would do business with Parts again.

These factors can occasionally lead to slight inconsistencies when fitting the handrail and fittings together. This is an industry-standard characteristic of wood. Typically, wood glue and mounting hardware are used to join the handrail and fitting, and this seam is sanded smooth. In cases where minor fitting adjustments are needed, the sanding process blends the pieces seamlessly, usually without adding significant time or complexity.
