    Great solid newel. Saved me a day of priming.

    This is a very heavy, solid piece of wood. The primer was applied evenly and required only very light scuff sanding before painting. No grain texture shows through at all.

    We needed a taller-than-standard newel for our project and this 58-inch one was perfect. The fact that it came pre-primed was a fantastic bonus. The surface was smooth and took our final paint color with no issues.
