This S-9403 sure tite wood newel mounting kit is designed to install wood newel posts. It is a very long screw / bolt system that will torque the newel post down preventing it from moving.

    The product is a geeat piece or red oak and it was shipped with tons of bubble wrap. Even though the box was ripped open the amount of packing inside protected the wood. I am very happy with the product, my only complaint is the corners are quite sharp.
