- Design: Square newel cap.
- Dimensions: 3-1/4″ length; 3-1/4″ width; 3/4″ x 1″ dowel.

Usage Tips: Attach the cap to the top of a compatible 3-1/4″ square newel post using the 3/4″ x 1″ dowel, securing with adhesive or fasteners suitable for wood. Apply your chosen stain or finish after installation, ensuring proper surface preparation. Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid harsh chemicals to protect the finish.
Solid Wood Construction
Solid wood construction uses multiple slices or layers, all from the same species of wood (e.g., Red Oak or White Oak), crafted together to form the product. These layers are arranged with opposing grain patterns, a technique that prevents warping or bending over time by counteracting natural wood movement. While this method uses a single species throughout, it avoids the higher cost of a solid block by layering, offering durability and a natural, uniform grain that stains beautifully. It’s an excellent choice for high-traffic or premium stair installations.

I’m lazy so I just removed the dowel and just glued and nailed this to the top. Looks great.

Updated our staircase by removing ball caps from newel posts and installing square caps. New caps are secure with the built-in 3/4 inch dowel. We really like the new look!

This last order was for 3 posts only but the previous order was much larger. Both orders as far as materials were great and things went smoothly. Very happy with the product

I Purchased the cap and newel post, both came in a timely manner and were in perfect condition. Company went the extra mile packing it to ensure you do not receive a damaged product. The newel post along with the cap had a price that is unbeatable, the local building supply wanted 3 times the price of what cheap stair parts wanted. I would definitely purchase from them again
