Staircase Trim & Moulding
Trim and moulding are the essential finishing touches that create a professional, built-in look for any staircase. These components are designed to conceal the necessary gaps and seams that occur during installation. Common profiles include Cove Moulding, used to trim the underside of a tread’s nosing where it meets the riser, and Shoe Moulding, used to cover the joint between a skirt board and the floor or tread. Applying the correct moulding not only hides imperfections but also adds architectural detail, resulting in a clean, high-end finish. All of our wood moulding is delivered unfinished, ready for on-site finishing.
To suit any application, our moulding is available in several material options. Stain-grade Red Oak is intended to be stained and sealed, perfect for matching solid hardwood treads and handrails. Paint-grade moulding provides a smooth, durable surface for an opaque painted finish. For curved walls, balconies, or starting steps, we offer Flexible Moulding, a polymer-based material that bends to fit tight radii while maintaining the profile of its wood counterparts. We stock these essential finishing pieces to ensure you can complete your project with a professional touch. All components are in stock and ready to ship with the rest of your stair parts order.
