This plain newel post features two removable cap options, is offered in Red Oak wood & measures 56″ tall by 3-1/2″ square. Used in staircase remodeling, this is a support post used at the end of the stair and anywhere the stair makes a turn. Ready to Stain Red Oak, although most people still give them a light sanding first. Installs using our S-9403 mounting kit, sold separately.
