The House of Forgings HF16.3.70 Aluminum Level Base Collar – Satin Black is designed for flat surface installations and fits 1/2″ square balusters. Made from aluminum, this base collar features a 1.33″ square base and is .35″ in height, finished in powder-coated Satin Black. For angled installations, use the 16.3.71 angled base collar.

Usage Tips: Secure the collar to a flat surface with epoxy for a stable fit with the 1/2″ square baluster. For a more permanent hold and to minimize uneven gaps, evenly space the shoe around the baluster and install it with a dab of our clear dry epoxy. Clean with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the Satin Black finish; avoid abrasive cleaners. Note that this is a decorative component and does not provide structural support. For angled surfaces, use the 16.3.71 collar instead.
