Young Manufacturing RetroTreads & RetroCraft Treads

RetroTread® is a system for overlaying existing carpeted stairs with solid hardwood treads. The design allows for the removal of carpet and direct installation of hardwood treads, minimizing alteration to existing stair dimensions. A primed white riser is included in each kit.

Construction utilizes solid hardwood with tongue-and-groove assembly and edge-glued, kiln-dried staves. Tread staves are color-matched and surfaced on three sides, with single-edge nosing and face sanding. An integrated extended cove provides joint coverage and prevents nosing separation.
