The 16.1.21-T Long Single Twist Hollow Iron Baluster is constructed from hollow wrought iron, making it both lightweight and durable. It stands 44 inches tall and is 1/2″ square in diameter, featuring a prominent 22″ twist that adds a distinctive decorative element to your staircase design. This baluster weighs 1.3 lbs and is intended for use with all other 1/2″ square balusters. For installation, it utilizes shoes 16.3.19 and 16.3.2, designed specifically for half-inch balusters.

Was happy to receive my box of balusters and shoes 2 days early, in perfect shape. Watched a couple YouTube videos and was able to remove all 40 wood balusters and trim the new ones to length in about 2 1/2 hrs. Used clear construction adhesive to secure new ones, screwed shoes in place, and the finished product is great. Low cost, high impact improvement that transformed the staircase from utilitarian to a showpiece. Very pleased. You won’t be sorry. Balusters and shoes are excellent quality and should probably cost a lot more than they do.

Balusters arrived rapidly, in great condition, well packaged, and as expected. Despite being hollow they are very heavy weight and sturdy and most reasonable price we could find any where. We did end up purchasing an adaptor through Amazon which inserted into the hollow end in order to screw the baluster to the flat base wall instead of drilling base holes. Wish they were sold here, as they saved so much time and effort (we were replacing wooden spindles which had counter drilled screws which made it difficult to drill the base holes). These balusters were perfect and turned out beautifully in our project though – highly recommend!
