Foundation Iron Balusters with Built-In Base

The Foundation series is a patented House of Forgings design made from a single piece of 1/2-inch square hollow tubing. The bottom flares into a seamless 1-inch square built-in base, so no separate base shoe is needed. A 1/2-inch pin under the base installs into a drilled hole (usually with epoxy). At 44 inches tall and hollow, these balusters are lightweight and easy to handle.

Important: Because the built-in base is flat and 90 degrees, Foundation balusters are for level surfaces only—landings, balconies, and level runs. They will not sit flush on the angled (rake) portion of a staircase. Use a different compatible baluster on the rake.
