Base Shoes for 1/2-inch Square Balusters

Base shoes finish the bottom of each iron baluster. They slide over the baluster and cover the installation hole in the tread or floor, hiding gaps and epoxy for a clean look.

This collection is sized for the standard 1/2-inch square baluster and works with popular styles including Twist, Basket, Scroll, and Versatile series. You’ll need two types: flat shoes for level surfaces (landings and balconies) and angled shoes for the sloped rake of the stairs. Most shoes lock in place with a set screw.
